My White Kitchen

Welcome to la cuisine des Quarshies! In other words welcome to my white Kitchen 😉 Yes, it’s my kitchen not our kitchen {lol} because Leo doesn’t cook, I told him he has no say on the look, design or how I style the kitchen 🙂 That’s fair right ?!?

OKAY … now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get right into it ! Our kitchen is not big but it’s big enough for our family and lifestyle.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE KITCHEN ACCESSORIES

For those of you that are new here and do not follow me on Instagram, we recently bought our first home and it was built brand new and delivered to us in June 2019. It’s a 2500 square feet of living space . We have an open floor plan on the main level where we have the living room on one end, and the dining room on another end with the kitchen right in the middle. Because we bought the house as a lot , we were part of the selection process.

So we picked the cabinets, the counter, the appliances, the floor and hardware .

If you’re not familiar with brand new homes… the listed price of the home comes with the builder’s basic options. And it’s mostly okay if you simply can’t afford it, or don’t care for Luxe or even sees it as something you can replace later.

Because my dad works in home improvement, we also wanted to save in some way so, we opted for some of the builder basics so that we can upgrade later with the help of my dad and,  later for me means as soon as we close and get the keys lol

The kitchen faucet & the pendant lights were basic . We also opted for no hardware on the cabinets and we took the builders basic appliances as well (Basic because we will change them later after the warranty) !

I knew before we even started the home buying process that I wanted a white kitchen with gold accents  and there was no compromise there:) So before we moved in , the pendant lights were changed and my kitchen faucet was replaced by my gold Moen one that I still love {check out that post HERE }

As you can see below, my DAD has helped us tremendously with all the updates that I wanted and so much more has happened ever since these photos were taken. Stay tuned !

The white cabinets, white Quartz counter and gold hardware was pretty much it for me but when it comes to the accessories and styling; my best friend Fatim formally known as my {booboo} lol is my go to person for ideas and opinions! Fatim doesn’t only have an eye for taste and luxe on a budget, she has a creative background and hold an Art degree in Theater Set and Costume Design. You can finds some of her beautiful works as she is slowly settling in her new home in her instagram squares @lacasa.de.karns . Fatim helped styled this post and took all these photos.

For the cabinet knobs and bars, I saw many  great options but I wanted something a bit modern, contemporary and timeless. The Hexagon pull bars and knobs from CB2 was perfect !

  • I use the knobs for the cabinets under the the drawers, above the microwave and above the fridge.
  • I use the 12 inches bars on the drawers and on the pantry cabinet,
  • The 8 inches bars for the taller cabinets, and
  • The 6 inches bars for all the standard cabinets.
