Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I want to share with you 10 fun ways to spend valentine’s day at home. This year, with all the social distancing norms and various restrictions in place because of the pandemic, you might be considering not celebrating Valentine’s Day. But Guess what ??? 🙂 You can totally have fun this Valentine’s day right in the comfort of your home!
Staying in on Valentine’s Day is not a bad idea, in fact it has many advantages of its own. You can give your full undivided attention to your partner. You don’t have to worry about making reservations at restaurants, you can avoid waiting in line, avoid going to crowded places, and instead spend some quality time together in the comfort of your home. You can even make it a family affair and celebrate with your kids 🙂

So whether you are a fan of celebrating Valentine’s Day or you want to celebrate this time due to the pandemic, these 10 ideas to spend valentine’s day at home are super romantic and will make your Valentine’s Day extra special.

1. Prepare a Valentine’s Day Special Breakfast 

Now, who doesn’t like waking up to the sweet smell of delicious pancakes and waffles?  This Valentine’s Day, surprise your Valentine with a lovely breakfast in bed. Bonus points if you can manage to cook heart-shaped pancakes or cookies. Simple and loving gestures go a long way, and you can never go wrong with a romantic breakfast in bed!

So write down all your feelings, pour your heart out on a piece of paper, and surprise your partner with a handwritten love letter. 

3. Have A Board Game Night 

No matter how old you get, you can never be too old for playing board games. It’s time to take out those old board games and have a cozy game-night with your significant other. Make sure to select games that are specially made for two players, like chess, scrabble, or the good old tic-tac-toe. Challenge your partner for a game and have the best-ever low-key Valentine’s Day. 

4. Watch Your Favorite Sitcoms Together 

The best way to spend any special occasion is by smiling and laughing with the people you love the most, and what can make you laugh more than the good old sitcoms? whether you like it or not, you can ever get enough of a classic comedy! So, light up some candles in your living room, bring out your blanket, toss some cheesy popcorn, snuggle together on the couch, and laugh your heart out with your partner while watching some good-old episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, the Office, How I Met Your Mother or any other sitcom you both enjoy.

I know that Christmas is over but who doesn’t like another reason to decorate and light up their homes? The warm, cozy, and romantic feeling those bright and beautiful lights give is just perfect for your date night. So this Valentine’s Day, light up your home with all the gorgeous fairy lights , or cafe lights and make your day even more special and memorable.

7. Plan A Cocktail Party 

A cocktail party for just two people sounds great, right? You can have your own little cocktail party this Valentine’s Day. The best part is you don’t even have to get dressed! You can attend the party in your cute Valentine’s Day PJs! 
If you want to do something totally different this year on Valentine’s Day, having an indoor cocktail party can be the perfect option for you and your soulmate. Prepare drinks for your partner and ask them to do the same for you. Talk about anything and everything and have the best time ever.

8. Make Dinner Together 

Cooking together with your loved one is one of the most romantic things ever. It makes your bond even stronger.  This year, as you don’t get to dine at your favorite restaurant, preparing a simple meal together can be just as perfect. Remember, this is a day for you to relax with your significant other, so plan an easy yet special dinner and cook something simple so that you can focus on each other, too.

Search for some great photoshoot ideas on the internet, wear your best outfit, and get all dolled up for your stay-at-home Valentine’s Day photoshoot. This will not only add a unique touch to your special day, but will also give you lots of happy memories to look back and smile at.
