Potty Training Essentials For Toddler Girls

When it comes to potty training, there’s no rule set in stone. As a parent, you find what works for you and you make it work. I personally don’t believe in starting too early or using kitty toilets. I wait until I see they’re ready and I go straight to the adult toilet with a few tools that I find very helpful. First, let’s start with how you know that your child is ready?Over the years, a lot of moms have confirmed the following signs as showing that a child is ready for potty training :
* An interest in the toilet
* A desire to sit on the toilet
* Taking off diapers after peeing
* Asking to be changed after peeing
* Finding a hiding spot to poop

Potty Training Tips & Tricks

Potty training works differently for every child whether they are girls or boys. The experiences are different. As a mom, it’s important to be sure you are ready before you start potty training your child. Because once you start, consistency is key ! You must create a routine and stick to it. Also be patient with yourself and your child. Potty training can take up to a year for some children. And as the saying goes, you will not see a child graduating from high school wearing diapers 🙂 That simply means, no matter how long it takes your child, they will get it !
With Nico, I was lucky I think :). It took him less than two months and he got it ! I am hoping it takes that long for Belle too or less. lol I”ll report back here 🙂 !

One of the tricks that worked for me is praise and reward ! Let’s be honest, who doesn’t like to be praised or who doesn’t like to be rewarded ? I know I do 🙋🏾‍♀️ 🤗 !!!
Kids love when you make a big deal out of little accomplishments. You may have to sit for a long time for them to pee a little in the toilet and praise them afterwards 🙂 Whether it’s a popsicle or a lolly pop or extra minutes to play outside or to spend on their tablets, you have to find something that works for you and use it. Remember to be patient with yourself and your child.
